The prisoners in Sunflower County have got to be feeling special about now.
After over a month of discussion, they were still the talk of the town during Monday morning’s meeting of the Sunflower County Board of Supervisors.
The Mississippi Delta Community College Sports Hall of Fame will be inducting seven new members Saturday, April 21 with a banquet and induction ceremony beginning with a social at 4 p.m. in the J.T. Hall Coliseum.

The North Sunflower Academy Rebels’ bats came to life in a pair of recent wins.
The Rebels played Strider Academy in a district double header, winning the first game 11-3 and the second contest 27-2.
In game one, Patrick Boykin led NSA in hits and power with a three-run home run. He finished the game with those 3 RBI.

On March 29, the Gentry High School Jobs For Mississippi Graduates Career Association toured the Nissan Canton Vehicle Assembly Plant to learn more about the STEM and engineering fields.
Students were able to see how cars are manufactured, observe diversity in the work place, and see how robots are replacing humans.
