The Sunflower County Board of Supervisors voted this week to end a temporary moratorium on granting tax abatements for economic development projects.

Reportedly, no one was injured during an audacious afternoon robbery at Community Choice Financial in the Lovelace Shopping Center on Saturday. Police Chief Edrick Hall said two men wearing bandannas went into the business around 12:45 p.m.

Most Wanted

Sunflower Police Chief Louis Baymon is requesting the public’s help in locating Jerome Steadman 31, whose last known address was Apartment D-5, Pine Lane Apartments, Penny Circle, Sunflower.

According to Baymon, Steadman is wanted in connection with two domestic violence charges levied on August 6, 2017 and November 22, 2017.
