David Dallas, CEO of The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Mississippi Delta, spoke to the Indianola Rotary Club about his work and territory that reaches from Tunica to Yazoo City, with multiple locations in between. Dallas said that there is still a goal of having a Boys & Girls Club in Indianola.

In its March regular board of aldermen meeting, which was held on April 5, the Ruleville aldermen heard a report from Chief Ernie Scarber regarding the recent acquisition and installation of Mississippi Wireless Information Network radios for the department’s patrol units.
After returning from a closed session on Monday night, the Indianola Board of Aldermen voted unanimously to demote Assistant Fire Chief Johnny Hughes to his previous position as firefighter.

On March 25, Tameka N. Brown, 38, was arrested and charged with shoplifting (first offense).
