The postseason accolades continue to come to members and the coach of the AAA State Champion Indianola Academy baseball team.
In addition to the five players named to the All-District 1-AAA team per last week’s edition of The Enterprise-Tocsin, three of those selections have also recently been named as MAIS AAA All-State selections.
It does not get much more exciting than this.
For now there is only one more victory separating the North State AAA champion Indianola Academy baseball team from a State AAA Championship, a feat not achieved by an IA baseball team since the 2001 season.
The payoff time for hard work has now arrived for the Indianola Academy Colonels baseball team.
With the postseason now at hand, the young squad’s task is to now play three more weeks of excellent baseball if they are to earn a state AAA championship.
The Indianola Academy Colonels are the new District 1AAA champions as they prepare for the upcoming State AAA baseball playoffs.
Hoping to continue their success which has been a consistent occurrence of late, the Colonels have improved their record to a stellar 20-5, 11-1 mark.
The Gentry High Rams baseball team is playoffs bound – and it began Thursday.
After completing their season with a third place finish in Region 3-4A baseball play, the 8-3 Gentry High Rams will take a long road trip today to Mooreville High School to open their 4A State baseball playoff competition.
With their extended win streak still intact, the 7-0, 3-0 Gentry High Rams baseball team continues to dodge the rain.
Meanwhile, Head Coach Timothy Holmes’ squad will attempt to complete this week’s scheduled Region 3-4A series with Tunica Rosa Fort High.
Game times and locations are to be announced.
