Only three of the five Indianola Aldermen were present for Monday night’s meeting, but the city’s business did proceed as planned.
The vote was 2-1, with Alderman Ruben Wood voting no, to sign a contract with Marvell Labs of Greenwood to manage a random drug testing program for city employees.

Teen accused of stealing weapons from sheriff’s vehicle

A 14-year-old Sunflower boy is in hot water with county law enforcement after he allegedly took a shotgun and a .22 caliber handgun from Sheriff James Haywood’s vehicle
The sheriff’s truck was parked at his residence on Saturday morning, and according to Haywood, both weapons were recovered without incident.
