The Enterprise-Tocsin is the second-oldest business in the Mississippi Delta, having published continuously since 1888. We’re a weekly newspaper published every Thursday in Indianola. We strive for comprehensive coverage of life in Indianola and Sunflower County, and we take very seriously the responsibility of a newspaper in a democracy to inform the public and serve its community.
Indianola is in the heart of the Mississippi Delta, the region known as the birthplace of the blues and some of the world’s most productive farmland. Indianola is the home town of B.B. King and the multimillion dollar museum bearing his name.
The E-T has a reputation as one of the best weeklies in Mississippi and is a past winner of the Mississippi Press Association's General Excellence Award. It is part of the family-owned Emmerich Newspapers, which is based in Jackson, Miss., and includes 25 newspapers in Mississippi and three in Louisiana and Arkansas.
